Growing up, I've regularly been told that I am empathetic, wise beyond my years and give good impartial advice and suggestions. Yet, with this positivity, there have (of course) been many others who didn't understand me and saw my abilities as a reason to try to dull my shine, so I never really felt like I fit in.
I've always had a strong sense of intuition and an awareness of what others are feeling as well as good observational skills. I think that is probably why I've always been a person who people have sought out for advice, support or just as a person to listen to them. Even as a child, I would have strangers divulge information to me that they often hadn't told anybody else, but would tell me they felt comfortable sharing with me. Yet within myself I never felt fully seen or understood.
My own healing journey truly began in my late-20's when I returned to university and retrained to become a primary school teacher (PGCE). The experience was an extremely intense and challenging one, and brought up a lot of things from my past. But I knew that in order to be the kind of teacher I wanted to be, I would need to embrace everything and dive headfirst into to the work of healing myself with support. I still didn't feel that I fitted in, but was starting to become more accepting of that, and began to turn inward to better understand myself and my experiences.
After 8 years of being within the classroom, both in the UK and Dubai, I decided to take the next steps in my journey and to leave teaching within schools. I realised that my real interest with teaching was having the possibility of making a true difference to how a child views themselves, their learning and their future prospects, and I knew that this just was not possible for me to do to the level I wanted, within the school environment. I realised that this was also a call to my soul to finallly embrace my whole self by not trying to fit into a box or to be understood and seen by others by changing myself. Instead, I decided to stick to what I know is best for me. By this point, I also acknowledged that I really enjoyed helping adults to realise their full potential and begin their healing journey. So, whilst continuing on my own healing journey, and working with children in a family setting, I trained in life coaching (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).
Which leads me to the now, where I am working with everything that I am, and have learnt, to help and support individuals and families on their journeys of healing, growth and development.
When I look back, I can see that I have been on a fascinating voyage of experiences and challenges that often (amongst the excitement, joy and successes) felt pretty tough, disheartening and confusing. Yet ultimately, I know that this journey and my interests, along with my core skills and those I've developed, have led me here. And honestly, I don't think it could have been done in any other way.
The exciting thing for me is that this journey of learning, development, challenges, experiences and growth continues for me. And throughout it all, I am committed to continuing to heal and develop myself to be able to better help and support you.
We are all on this journey together, in one way or another, so let us be shining whilst we make it.

I am from the UK and have lived in Dubai now for the past 7 and a half years. I have also lived in France and have a great interest and passion in learning foreign languages and about other cultures. To me, these are some of the things that help to form a person and I believe help with better communication. I am a lifelong learner and am committed to continuing my own personal and professional development. Currently I am (finally!) learning Arabic and will also be learning somatic healing to aid with my work.
I love the sea and find it brings me a great sense of calm in challenging times. I also love nature and the outdoors for similar reasons, but also because it is just so beautiful and amazing! As a curious being, I tend to have an interest on some level in most things, or at least finding out about them. In my spare time I enjoy walking and fitness as well as reading, eating and cooking great food, travel, and spending time with friends and family.
